Ongoing guidance support, both formal and informal, is one more way we provide the nurturing, home-away-from-home learning environment that sets Upper York School apart from the private schools in North Toronto.
The formal support includes course counselling, testing, career planning and university application support, and vocational programs.
The informal support happens every day in our open spaces, where students and staff meet and talk. “If a student needs something new, we know about it right away,” says Dorothy Hartman, Director of College Counselling.
Health and Wellness
Healthy and Wellness are a top priority at Upper York School because parents tell us their top priority is the safety of their son or daughter.
The pillars of our program, managed by Andy Mok, Director of Health & Wellness, include one-on-one counselling, learning about healthy eating and guidance on how to build and nurture healthy relationships.
